Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant:
* Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
* Support the planning and delivery of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a stimulating and engaging environment for the children.
* Build strong relationships with the children and their families, promoting open communication and collaboration.
* Observe and assess children’s progress and development, keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
* Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, supporting colleagues and encouraging a positive atmosphere.
* Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning, with attention to hygiene and health and safety regulations.
* Promote positive behavior and provide support to children as needed, helping to build their social and emotional skills.
* Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play.
What We’re Looking For in a Nursery Assistant:
* Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education (required).
* Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (preferred).
* Passion for providing high-quality care and education in a homely, nurturing environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* A caring, patient, and understanding approach to working with young children.
