Job overview
The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMB) invites applications for a part-time Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics to join our busy Orthodontic team. This post attracts 6 PA's in total with set working days of Monday, Thursday and Friday. The post will be based in Lancaster at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary but will also involve clinical activity at other sites within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The Unit provides a comprehensive secondary care service in all aspects of Orthodontics including the management of hypodontia and patients that require orthognathic surgery in conjunction with our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry teams. There is an active orthodontic Managed Clinical Network which includes the local acute Trusts and specialist practitioners across the Lancashire & South Cumbria region.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Full GDC registration with a licence to practise at time of appointment
* Entry on the Specialist List for Orthodontics
* BDS or equivalent degree in undergraduate Dentistry
* MFDS
* M.Orth or equivalent
* F.Orth RCS ISFE M.Sc in Orthodontics
Experience
* Have completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) recognised taught Orthodontic Postgraduate course
* Practical clinical experience in Orthodontics
* Educational/Clinical supervisor experience
