Job summary Westerdale North Ward are looking to recruit enthusiastic Band 3 Healthcare Assistant/Trainees to join our team. Westerdale North Ward is a mixed gendered 20 bedded inpatient ward for older people who experience functional mental illnesses. This role will involve covering a 24 hour/7 day roster Main duties of the job We are currently looking for Healthcare Assistants to work within our Middlesbrough day services. The individuals would be responsible for supporting adults with a learning disability who have associated physical health problems and Epilepsy We wish to recruit individuals who are flexible, enthusiastic and have a positive caring attitude towards our client group. The role will be varied and will include all aspects of care from implementing care plan delivery systems to promoting choice and client's independence. Our clients are looking for someone who will listen to them, help them, make them feel safe and support them to go out in the community as part of their treatment plans. The successful candidate must have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role). The successful candidates who do not have the required qualifications will be expected to enrol on the Healthcare Assistant Framework which will include the acquisition of the level 2 Diploma Health and Social Care, level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent and achievement of competencies.
