We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague to join our team of Consultants, as a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Genitourinary Radiology. This new post reflects an increasing cancer imaging workload. We are a dynamic and innovative department with Radiologists providing acute and subspecialty Radiology. We teach 15 Radiology trainees on the Portsmouth training scheme. Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities Subspecialty interest in renal and genitourinary imaging, to participate in all aspects of CT, MRI, US, imaging guided biopsies simple fluoroscopy studies and GU MDTs. General work Acute in-patient cross sectional imaging Diagnostic On-call service, currently 1 in 15 Diagnostic rota supported by local trainees until midnight Outsourced CT midnight to 0900hrs Weekend on call working is in and working for between 8 - 10 hr, compensated with time in lieu time and a third. This should be taken within three months of the on call date. Share with colleagues in the training, supervision and support of radiographers and ultrasonographers, including skill mix training. Provide training for the Portsmouth Radiology Training Scheme Specialty Trainees and other Southampton based rotating Wessex SPRs. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed date must be within 6 months), CESR or European Community Rights Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists, or equivalent.
