Roles and Responsibilities as a Care Assistant Assisting with personal care needs, including continence care Assisting with medication (prompting and administering) Assisting with meals (preparation, cooking, feeding) Companionship Outings (shopping, social, appointments) Light household chores & laundry Encourage Customer independence and be perceptive of their needs Observing and reporting on the Customer's health and well-being Record keeping in accordance with Company policy Uphold safe moving and handling practices Your Experience and Suitability for the Care Assistant Role To work with us, it is not essential to have previous care experience. We provide a full training and support programme to ensure you are confident in your role. We want to ensure our customers receive the very best care and to do that we need people who are naturally compassionate, caring, and patient. As a care assistant, you will support Customers to ensure that they are safe and well cared for in the comfort of their own home, and that all their needs and wishes are met whilst being treated with dignity and respect. Working as a care assistant is extremely rewarding and offers immense job satisfaction knowing that you are making a real difference in a person's life. In this role, you will build relationships with people from different backgrounds, with different personalities and lifestyles, and care needs that vary. We have full-time or part-time positions available, but it is essential that all our Care Assistants are available to work morning, evenings & weekends as part of a rota basis.
