SEN Teaching Assistant – Stockport Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Stockport. This rewarding role is perfect for individuals with experience in supporting students with a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. You will play a key role in providing tailored support to enhance the learning experience of students with SEN. Key Responsibilities: Assist students with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them engage with the curriculum and make progress Work closely with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adjust lesson materials to meet the needs of students Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment Monitor and track students’ progress, providing feedback and reports to teachers and parents Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development Essential Criteria: Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a secondary school setting Understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the ability to apply it in practice Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (desirable) Why This Role?
