The Opportunity Cochlear has an opportunity for a Financial Accountant based in our UK Addlestone Office. In this role, the successful Financial Accountant will contribute to compliant financial reporting and accounting, whilst managing various areas of the EMEA balance sheet to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, with the aim of informing business decisions and ensuring compliance with Group policies and local accounting standards. Prepare accurate journal entries relating to bank accounts, payroll, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and revaluations together with other ad hoc entries. Prepare fixed asset additions and disposals ensuring entries are in line with the Group Capital Expenditure policy. Support with the provision of information to external auditors for group and statutory audits. Prepare and submit surveys for Office of National Statistics on a regular basis. Ownership of research spend and related accruals, being key contact for internal and external stakeholders for the Research entity. Responsible for the processing and payment of invoices for EMEA entities in line with the internal control framework. This role is key to ensure supplier accounts are well managed to ensure timely settlement of invoices and avoid disruption to the business. Coordinate and prepare reserve reconciliations for EMEA entities ensuring all differences between IFRS and Statutory books are valid. Responsible for ensuring the EMEA dividend policy is followed across the region. What makes this opportunity unique?
