The Referral to Treatment Assistant Performance & Operations Manager will assist the Trust and Divisions to deliver high quality, accurate patient data related to 18 week pathways (RTT).
The post holder will line manage the corporate validators, providing training and support for the team.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of performance targets through effective communication with staff throughout UHBW and will utilise every data source available - e.g. Careflow PAS and patient notes, to clarify and confirm patients' RTT status prior to external reporting.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Referral to Treatment (RTT) Performance Team in Trust Services.
The post holder will line manage our corporate validators who are responsible for tracking, reporting and monitoring of patients on an 18-week RTT pathway which includes patient contact validation every 12 weeks. The post-holder will build relationships with staff across the Trust ensuring accurate reporting and will be the first point of contact for assisting with queries.
The post will suit someone with attention to detail, thoroughness and with strong interpersonal skills. They will investigate patient delays, record information on the patient administration system and review a number of reports; therefore they should be comfortable working across a range of software including Microsoft Office. They should be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills to provide coherent feedback and explanatory emails.
The role will require working at both the Bristol and the Weston offices and can include remote working.

Person specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience of working in a Supervisory/Management role in the acute sector
* Experience dealing with the public, Directors, Senior Managers both on the telephone and in person
* Previous experience of the NHS
* Knowledge of Referral to Treatment waiting times rules and national status codes
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a high level of accuracy
* Ability to quickly understand complex concepts and prioritise accordingly
* Ability to use Microsoft Office or evidence of training in MS Office applications
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues & external clients
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work under own discretion and initiative with a methodical and organised approach without supervision
* Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with skills relating to prioritisation, delegation and time management
* Ability to deal with occasional distressing or emotional circumstances
