Due to our ongoing expansion strategy, GM UK are looking for a Network Development Manager who will report directly to the Managing Director.
Location is flexible, as this role encompasses the whole of the UK given that this is a national position. There will also be a need to work from our head offices at least once a week in Princes Risborough – usually on a Monday.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
1. Growing the UK Network:
o Expanding both the GM and U-Save network to new franchisees.
o Growth expectation of the network to be in line with the company strategy.
o Target will be to grow by 6 locations over the next 12 months.
o Build a robust pipeline of potential franchisees and share with senior management on a regular basis.
o Responsible for the end-to-end implementation for all new locations.
o Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure that all new franchisees become embedded in the GM UK network.
o Helping and encouraging existing franchisees to grow.
2. Standardisation:
o Ensure that both the customer journey and experience are seamless irrespective of the location.
o Drive the standardisation of products, service, and culture across the UK network.
o All locations to have up-to-date branding and uniforms.
o Attend regular site visits to ensure continuity is adhered to at all times.
o Carry out regular audits at each location and cascade the findings to both the franchisee and GM UK senior management.
3. Training:
o Produce a detailed “play book” for all franchisees which details a full training manual for all new employees.
o Arrange for quarterly training sessions to take place at GM UK for all new starters.
o Liaise with GMI on a regular basis to be aware of any new products and services which have been launched so that we fully understand how these can be deployed at a local level.
o Mentor local stakeholders from each location on operations, systems, and counter sales.
Candidate Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years operational experience from within the rental industry.
* A proven track record of dealing with a franchise environment would be desirable.
* Credible and tenacious with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Have an appetite to grow the GM UK network.
* Willing to travel across the UK in order to grow and support the UK footprint.
