We primarily specialise in providing staff for festivals and large events. Our management team has over forty years of experience in the hospitality sector.
Our vibrant seafront venue Horizon has quickly become a popular hotspot, attracting a diverse crowd of students, international visitors, VIPs, and locals. Operating both day and night with themed events and a busy trade, we are looking for a General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Must have a personal licence.
About the Role:
As the General Manager, you will lead the venue’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance while driving revenue growth. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires exceptional operational knowledge, a passion for customer service, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for all our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue & Sales Growth: Drive pre-booked sales, marketing campaigns, and in-house promotions to meet and exceed sales targets.
2. Staff Management: Lead a management team, overseeing stock management, cash control, and staff development.
3. Operational Excellence: Uphold venue standards, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with Health & Safety and licensing laws.
4. Recruitment & Payroll: Manage recruitment, payroll, and employee development initiatives.
5. Customer Experience: Maintain the highest levels of customer service, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
6. Knowledge of Trends: Stay current with musical trends and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Proven experience in managing a late-night bar, club, or high-volume venue.
2. Strong knowledge of back-of-house operations and HR systems.
3. Up-to-date understanding of Health & Safety and licensing compliance.
4. Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
5. Ability to drive sales, motivate teams, and develop staff.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Passionate, dynamic, and fun-loving approach to work.
