Job Title: Apprentice - Trainee Kitchen Appliance Installer
Reporting to: Installation Manager - Operations
SUMMARY
This apprenticeship provides the right opportunity for someone starting out in the kitchen appliance installation field, an environment to learn and gain experience on the job.
This apprenticeship enables you to learn from the best installers in the industry and work towards gaining the right skills and knowledge to become one of the best installers yourself.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Observe, learn and understand a wide range of installation skills and processes, while working with experienced installers.
2. Assist with the delivery, removal and installation of kitchen appliances to customer’s houses or construction sites.
3. Arrive at job location / depot at the scheduled time.
4. Handle, lift and manoeuvre appliances into the correct location as part of a team, avoiding damage to the customers property and the appliances.
5. Unloading / loading tools and equipment.
6. Follow instructions and carry them out in a timely manner.
7. Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety procedures, and manufacturers’ instructions.
8. Attend and participate in meetings and training when required.
9. Other duties as appropriate to the role.
10. You are expected to gather training information to assist in the completion of your portfolio, and to attend meetings to discuss the progress of the portfolio with your line manager.
11. Attendance of your monthly off-the-job training at Logic4training is mandatory.
12. Please note, work hours are not consistent, and candidate must be comfortable with early starts/late finishes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL:
* GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
* Full clean UK driving license
* Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude
* Able to understand and carry out instructions, both verbal and written
* Punctual and reliable
* Team player and excellent communicator
* Willingness to learn
DESIRABLE
* At least 2 years’ driving experience
* Good knowledge of basic Health and Safety
* A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry
