Main Duties of the Job
The main responsibilities of the Deputy Divisional Lead Pharmacist include but are not limited to:
* Providing clinical pharmacy services to the surgical and critical care units.
* Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
* Supervising and mentoring junior pharmacy staff.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
Person Specification
Knowledge
* Clinical Pharmacy knowledge associated with a Pharmacy degree course.
* Experience gained through preregistration training.
* Experience gained through vocational practice.
Qualifications
* BSc, BPharm or MSc in Pharmacy.
* Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Diploma or MSc in hospital clinical pharmacy gained through post-graduate study OR Certificate or diploma in community pharmacy plus successful 6 months band 6 probation.
Experience
* Clinical knowledge from aspects of career to date.
* Significant recent experience of hospital or community pharmacy.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational skills.
* Evidence of commitment to CPD.
* Evidence-based practice.
* Teaching experience.
* Experience of extended roles.
* Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience of providing a specialist pharmacy service of some description.
* Practice research.
Contractual
* Flexibility in working hours.
* Able to work extended hours and on call as needed.
