Job Summary To assist the Director Human Resources in maintaining positive internal and external relationships with both Associates and Managers. Provide a consistent high standard of administration and non-administration support to the Human Resources Department to support achievement of the business goals and strategies. Assist in monitoring/tracking employee relations issues including resolution and follow-up. Assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues. Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards. Inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations. Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies, and guidelines. Disseminate information to employees related to employer-employee relations, employee activities, and personnel policies and programs. Review and ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9's). Assist in logistics, administration, and scheduling of annual employee surveys. Answer phone calls and record messages. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Core Work Activities Recruitment Coordinates and compiles relevant recruitment information. Coordinates & attends/organises career events, collateral for these events. Ensuring full immigration/right to work checks are carried out before the candidate is hired and all rules & regulations pertaining to this are upheld and followed both within the department and hotel. Adheres to Marriott data retention policy. Training and Development Coordinates the administration of all training nominations, training completion and attendance, ensuring databases are fully up to date. Deliver Associate Orientation Coordinate the setup and continuity of the hotel training team, ensure training champions are selected for each department and the champions are held accountable for training within their departments. Coordinate/organise statutory training as appropriate, maintain records on mHUB. Associate Relations Assists with regular communication of all Associate Benefits on properties. Assists with the administration of any employment relations issue. Provides a sounding board for associates who may need to discuss personal issues and maintains confidentiality at all times. Assists with the organization of any associate events i.e. award parties, barbecue’s, Christmas lunch etc. Community service – ensures key events are identified and organised throughout the year to support our national and local charities. Human Resources – department focus Performs necessary audits where required i.e. HR Reviews, ISRA, Immigration Checks etc. Provides full administration support for candidate management system (mHub) internet recruitment. Prepares & administers Associate Engagement related activities on an annual basis. Payroll Ensures payroll activities are in line with Marriott SOP’s and LSOP’s Prepares monthly reports and ensures adequate checks are in place, maintains segregation of duties. Maintains records of all necessary supporting documents such as Personnel Action Forms, Job Requisitions, wage increases/merit, incentives, gratuities/service charge, call outs, bonus, and commissions. Carries out administrative tasks relating to Pension, Private Healthcare, and other benefit schemes. A real people person and at ease in building relationships with other colleagues. You will represent the HR discipline on property level in various functions.
