We are excited to be growing our SEND provision, with the addition of a second full time SEND teacher. Following continuous progress and growth, we seeking to appoint an excellent practitioner to join our growing community. Having very recently been awarded the Inclusive School Award, and Centre of Excellence status, we are rightly proud of the work we do to ensure every child feels, and is, a proud member of our community.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the curriculum, up to at least Key Stage 3, but preferably Key Stage 4, and the skills to adapt the curriculum for learners working at this level. The successful candidate will join a strong and positive staff team, filled with excellent practitioners. There is significant opportunity to grow professionally at St Andrew’s, and to play a large role in supporting the school to continue on its journey of growth. Outcomes are excellent, and continue to improve year on year. The curriculum itself is broad, incorporating our drive to celebrate diversity and inclusivity.
St Andrew’s is a school that has love at its core. You see it in the relationships between staff and students; both in the classrooms and the corridors; and in the excellent pastoral care that every student is given. I have heard many describe being part of our school community as being like ‘family’; both giving and receiving unrelenting love. Our core Christian values run through all that we do, both in daily life and in strategic development.
We are looking to appoint an excellent and dynamic SEND teacher who has an aspirational vision that will inspire our young people and staff. The successful candidate will have a positive and solution focused approach, applying a ‘can do’ attitude to any potential challenges and a desire to change the lives of young people for the better.
It truly is an exciting time to join St Andrew’s. Whilst considerable growth and progress has been made in recent years, there is still so much impact to be made as the school goes from strength to strength. We would be delighted to show you around the school and/or offer a chance to meet the team; to arrange a visit, please contact use via email: head@sta-wothing.com
