Supporting one of our key clients we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. You will be involved in Major Infrastructure Projects, supporting in the delivering the infrastructure upgrades for multiple work packages on a nuclear licensed site.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will also be involved in:
* Assist the Electrical Services Engineering Lead in delivery of the electrical services related engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
* Manage the technical deliverables of the electrical services engineering packages.
* Supervise, prepare and/or check designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and other documents in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related plant, facility, and equipment.
* Participate in problem solving for development of technical solutions to deficiencies or in the development of new designs.
* Support the review and sentencing of new designs, methodology of construction and temporary works submitted to the Technical Authority.
* Manage design work packages as Engineer, supporting planning of activities, task durations, level of effort, and estimated costs, through to provision of design deliverables.
* Supervise and provide on-the-job guidance to junior staff.
* Support development, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of all Facilities.
* Support on-site inspection for construction, maintenance, and modification.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the Senior Electrical Engineer role you should have:
* Degree or equivalent in an Electrical or Electronic Engineering related discipline.
* Preferably Chartered Engineer status and member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience.
* Experience in the design of electrical building services, including fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting and emergency lighting, site broadcast and HVAC.
* Experience in the design of low voltage electrical distribution systems, control & instrumentation systems, and communications and data systems.
* Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required for the technical delivery of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle.
* Provide expert advice to sub-contracted design houses to enable them to develop the design.
* Sound project specification, planning, project management and budgeting experience.
* Understanding of Company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety and Quality requirements.
* Working knowledge of relevant engineering computer applications.
* Experience of design support to construction, operation, refit/repair of complex regulated facilities.
