Job Description:
We are a dedicated educational institution committed to nurturing well-rounded, confident children equipped for their future. We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Primary Teacher for a Year 5 role starting in January. Our school is a successful one-form entry school in Wantage, Oxfordshire, easily accessible by public transport, with a supportive culture ideal for both students and staff.
Responsibilities of a Year 5 teacher:
1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and creating a conducive learning environment.
2. Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum, focusing on individual learning targets, strengths, and weaknesses.
3. Developing maths skills, including fractions, statistics, and geometry.
4. Supporting children in developing writing skills through creative activities.
5. Tracking children's progress and communicating with parents as needed.
Year 5 Teacher requirements:
1. QTS, PGCE, and a strong academic record.
2. Creative, imaginative, resourceful, and adaptable teaching style.
3. Passion for learning and teaching.
4. Proven success in a Year 5 environment.
5. Excellent communication skills with children and parents.
6. Demonstrated outstanding classroom practice.
