Join us as a Line Leader in our fast-paced food manufacturing environment Job Purpose As a Line Leader, you will take charge of a production line or area, ensuring it operates smoothly, efficiently, and in line with the highest safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for leading your team to meet production targets, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food products, and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Champion: Promote a culture of safety by adhering to health & safety practices and promptly escalating any issues. Your vigilance ensures a safe working environment for you and your team. Team Leadership: Allocate tasks, manage resources, and provide guidance to your team to meet daily manufacturing goals and production plans. Motivate your team to perform at their best Production Planning: Ensure materials and equipment are available and properly set up to meet production targets while minimizing downtime. Keep everything running smoothly and on time. Performance Support: Actively encourage your team to meet company standards, providing coaching, support, and feedback to help them develop. Quality Assurance: Oversee product quality by auditing critical control points and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain the highest standards in food safety, legality, and product quality. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues efficiently, offering innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement and minimize downtime. Effective Communication: Keep your team informed of daily targets, progress, and any challenges, ensuring seamless changeovers between shifts. Build strong relationships with other teams to ensure smooth operations. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all records are completed correctly and promptly, allowing for easy traceability of the manufacturing process. Escalate any non-conformances or issues with food safety, legality, or quality immediately for investigation. Shift Handover: Manage the smooth transition between shifts, ensuring that all team members are up to speed on production progress and any key issues. What We’re Looking For In You Team Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and develop your team. Process & Product Knowledge: An understanding of food manufacturing, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and operating procedures. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and compliance with a focus on getting things right the first time.
