Randstad are looking for proactive senior residential childcare workers to join a beautiful house in Fife. This post is ideal for an experienced residential childcare worker looking to take a step up. The manager described their ideal candidate as someone who understands that not every day will be full of rainbows, but the rainbows make it worth it! You will support not only the children but the rest of the team to find the rainbows!N
Salary up to £31,,000 depending on experience and qualifications and comprises of 38 hours per week.

A successful senior residential childcare worker will be responsible for:
- Acting as a positive role model not only to the children but to junior members of team
- Taking the lead on shift
- Responsible for smooth running of the house when the manager is not available
- Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
- Creating a homely and nurturing environment where young people feel safe
- Supporting young people with early trauma and emotional behavioural difficulties
- Collaborating with the team in the house, schools, other professionals and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the young people in your care
- Ensuring professional boundaries are in place
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
- Working to a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends and bank holidays and Christmas period
To be successful in your senior residential childcare worker application, you will:
- Have a minimum 2 years experience working in a residential setting with young people
- Be willing to undertake relevant professional training
- Have strong communication skills
- Register under the PVG scheme and with SSSC
- Full driving licence (essential)
- Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
