Personal Assistant - Strategy & Transformation
Personal Assistant - Strategy & Transformation | UK
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in driving transformation across a leading construction business? Can you anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and build strong relationships across an ambitious organisation? If you're a proactive, forward-thinking PA who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments - we want to hear from you.
At Laing O'Rourke, we're delivering some of the most ambitious projects in the industry, and transformation is at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for an exceptional Personal Assistant to support our Europe Strategy & Transformation Director and Group Strategic Programmes Director, providing executive-level support while helping to shape and support the delivery of strategic priorities across the UK and beyond.
What's the opportunity?
This is far more than diary management. You'll be the trusted right hand to senior leaders, coordinating schedules across time zones, organising complex travel, preparing data-driven presentations, and liaising with key stakeholders - all while ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.
You'll also play an active role in our PA community, collaborating with peers in the UK and globally to create seamless support across our leadership team.
What will you be doing?
* Proactively manage complex diaries, meetings, and priorities - locally and across time zones
* Arrange travel, accommodation and detailed itineraries with foresight and care
* Prepare presentation packs and reports using dashboard data, charts and insights
* Build trusted relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders alike
* Be the key point of contact for international colleagues visiting the UK
* Act as a gatekeeper to protect executive time and support well-being
* Attend monthly PA meetings and contribute to our wider support network
* Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion
* Manage expenses, approvals, and team support requests with accuracy and efficiency
* Support the planning and delivery of events, broadcasts and strategic communications
Are you the person we're looking for?
We're after someone with a calm, solutions-focused approach and strong organisational instincts. You'll have:
* Experience supporting senior leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced business
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills - especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Outstanding time management, attention to detail, and the ability to stay two steps ahead
* Confidence communicating at all levels, including with clients and senior stakeholders
* A collaborative mindset - comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
* A curious, strategic mindset - able to understand context and adapt priorities accordingly
Why join us?
This is your chance to be at the heart of strategic change, supporting leaders who are shaping the future of construction. If you're energised by meaningful work, value integrity and thrive in collaborative environments - this could be your next great move.
