The Role Our client is looking for a skilled Java & TypeScript Capacitor Developer to join their team and build high-quality cross-platform mobile applications. In this role, you'll leverage TypeScript for front-end development with Capacitor and Java for back-end systems, creating seamless and scalable solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge mobile technologies while contributing to robust back-end development. Mobile Development with Capacitor: Design and develop cross-platform mobile applications using Capacitor and TypeScript. Integrate native device features (e.g., camera, GPS, push notifications) using Capacitor plugins. Ensure applications are optimised for performance and adhere to platform-specific guidelines (iOS and Android). Back-end Development with Java: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs endpoints using Java and frameworks like Spring Boot. Design and optimise SQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval. Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices for back-end systems. Full-Stack Integration: Seamlessly connect front-end mobile applications with back-end services. Handle data synchronisation, offline storage, and real-time updates for mobile apps. Testing & Debugging: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for both front-end and back-end components. Debug and resolve issues across the entire stack, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Performance Optimisation: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in both mobile applications and back-end systems. Optimise applications for speed, memory usage, and battery efficiency. The Individual The ideal candidate will have demonstrable values and ethics that mirror the companies culture and values, to be successful in the recruitment process you will need to evidence at least 3 years experience of the following in your CV: Experience with Ionic Framework (commonly used with Capacitor ). Proficiency in TypeScript and modern web framework ( Angular ). Strong experience with Capacitor for cross-platform mobile development. Expertise in Java and back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot ). Solid understanding of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL ). Familiarity with RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with app deployment processes ( App Store, Google Play ). Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., NgRx). Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Appium). Understanding of back-end technologies (Node.js, Java, etc.) for better collaboration with back-end teams.
