Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, compassionate and dedicated Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team offering a range of therapies and approaches to clients with a diverse range of mental health issues. This is a fixed term post until the end of October 2026 and would welcome applications from those wanting to work up to 0.7 WTE, including part time and flexible hours. Our service has a growing number of Psychological Professions working in a system with clear governance and leadership structures which enables Psychological Professions to have a strong voice and to offer good support to those working with us.
The postholder will work predominantly into the Psychological Therapies pathway and Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) pathway in the Community Mental Health Team, offering specialist psychological assessment and interventions, developing formulations and implementing evidence based interventions in line with NICE guidance. They will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. They will also be committed to the principles of recovery, have effective interpersonal and time management skills as well as being a responsive and motivated team player.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with excellent clinical skills, and a passion for working with people with a broad range of mental health needs across the lifespan. They will be committed to the principles of recovery, have effective interpersonal and time management skills, as well as being a responsive and motivated team player.
We have a strong and thriving community of psychological therapists within North Lincolnshire primary and community mental health services. We are strongly invested in supporting staff development through further training opportunities and there is a strong focus on quality supervision provided by our Senior Clinical Psychologists or Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, but also specialist supervision groups for supporting clinical practice within particular models of practice including EMDR. This role could support achieving accreditation in CBT or EMDR.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Qualification as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist from a BABCP accredited training course OR Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
* Working as an applied psychologist within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings.
* Knowledge, training and experience in NICE guidance recommended interventions for treating mental health difficulties.
Desirable
* Demonstrate further specialist training/experience working as a specialist clinical psychologist within the NHS.
