About the Role
To oversee and optimize the credit control process and to manage a global team. To play a critical role in managing credit risk, optimizing cash flow, and maintaining positive relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Producing detailed management information on a monthly basis for global debtors.
* Working closely with the Group Finance Manager and Group Finance Director.
* Overlooking the global Direct Debit and credit card function and providing enhanced reporting.
* Monitor and analyze payment trends and customer behaviors, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
* Dealing with high-level disputes.
* Monitor credit risk exposure and implement risk mitigation measures.
* Handling all administration cases, voluntary insolvency, liquidation, and debt agency/legal escalation.
* Lead, manage, and develop the Credit Control team in the UK, SA & PH.
* Collaborate closely with sales, customer services, operations, and legal teams to resolve complex credit issues and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
* Cash flow forecasting – monthly detailed forecasting including comparison to the previous month and major movements.
* Handling calls and client escalations.
* Strategic planning and insight into reducing debt and churn.
* Aiding the wider team with accounts receivable and daily/weekly and monthly reconciliations.
* Overlooking, maintaining, and reporting on all credit notes and write-offs.
* Ensure maintenance of accurate records of credit transactions and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers.
* Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with legal and financial standards.
About You

* Experience (desirable) with the following systems:
o Sage 200/50
o Credit Safe
* Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and numeric skills.
* Strong leadership and managerial skills.
* Proven experience, at least 3-5 years, as a credit control manager.
* Strong understanding of financial principles, credit risk assessment techniques, and credit management best practices.
* Able to prioritize your workload and demonstrate flexibility.
* A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in managing financial data and transactions.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively coach and motivate a team.
Interview Process
* 15min Screening Call with Team Talent.
* 1 hour zoom call with Head of Finance Operations & Credit Control and a team member.
* Final 1 hour zoom with Head of Finance Operations & Credit Control, Group Finance Manager and our Finance Director.
