Help lead or assist in criminal and misconduct investigations relating to Police Staff members and Police Officers arising from complaints/intelligence.
The Counter Corruption Unit are looking to recruit a Counter Corruption Police Investigator on a job share, working 32 hours per week. This is a permanent position located at Tigers Road, Leicester.
Key Responsibilities
-Conduct covert and overt CCU investigations, obtaining witness evidence from victims and witnesses by the most appropriate means and in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
-Carry out criminal interviews in accordance with PACE and as part of the custody process of transferring suspects to and from custody and liaising with custody staff.
-Attend hearings and give evidence where required, liaising with senior management, welfare and Corporate Communications prior to, during and after a hearing/meeting.
The must haves
-Be educated to Degree level standard in English Language or equivalent or have experience working at this level.
-PIP 2 Accredited or equivalent with experience of working in an investigative role in the last 3 years and maintain status or willing to gain PIP 2 accreditation within 4 years.
-A working knowledge of Police Conduct Regulations as well as legislation and procedures associated with the investigation of serious crime and corruption.
-Able to manage complex criminal/internal investigations into issues of integrity and corruption with an understanding of the impact of CCU investigations on those under investigation.
Please note, due to the nature of this role Management Vetting (MV) and Security Vetting (SC) is required. Therefore you must have 5 years continuous residency in the UK at the time of application.

Salary - £38,754 - £42,897 pro rata
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
