We are looking for a Paralegal to join our busy Debt Recovery sub team. You will exclusively assist with contested debt recovery work and support with the streamlining of the service. We are looking for an individual who is hard working and powered on delivering tangible results and displays a desire to be an integral part of the growth of the team. Previous work experience in a legal setting is essential. What you'll be doing Reviewing new instructions for contested debt recovery work and confirming client instructions and costs. Diarising key dates and dealing with Court fees etc, monitoring any deadlines. Drafting Defences (for defended debt recovery work). Responding to Defences, Witness Statements, applications, preparing Court bundles and related work. Instructing advocates/counsel to attend hearings as required, preparing statements of costs. Liaising with clients as appropriate. Assisting in developing new clients’ bespoke Letters Before Action. Development and organisation of precedents for the ShareDo CMC, as well as assisting in the general development of ShareDo in relation to contested work.
