Key Responsibilities Procurement Leadership: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including developing procurement strategies, sourcing suppliers, and overseeing tendering and contract negotiations. Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies to drive down Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) without compromising on quality. Supplier Evaluation: Analyze supplier bids and subcontractor proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budget, and quality standards. Contract Management: Conduct thorough negotiations with suppliers, collaborating with the Project Manager and main office teams to ensure contracts are reviewed, approved, and finalized in a timely manner. Material Assessment: Work closely with the Technical Office to explore new material alternatives, verifying their suitability and compliance with project specifications. Delivery Coordination: Oversee the ordering and timely delivery of materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and arrive in alignment with the construction schedule. Logistics Oversight: Coordinate with the Head Office Procurement Department to manage logistics, import processes, and ensure smooth and efficient material flow to the site. Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market developments, including supply chain trends, risk factors, and emerging opportunities, to inform procurement strategies and supplier selection. Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in procurement, particularly within MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) contracting projects. UK Market Knowledge: Familiarity with UK procurement standards and supplier networks is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software, preferably SAP, and strong analytical capabilities. Soft Skills: Excellent decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and relationship management. Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing expectations and building strong partnerships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
