Clinical 1.To manage patients with chronic disease, running specific clinic sessions and maintaining robust call and recall systems. Treatment duties. 2.Participate in national screening work such as cervical cytology and deliver the national immunisation and vaccination schedule. 3.Provide travel health advice and administer appropriate vaccinations. 4.Treat patients with minor injuries. 5.Provide directly and assist GPs with contraceptive services. 6.Act as chaperone when required. 7.Undertake health promotion to help educate patients. 8.Select, carry out and interpret results of specific tests. 9.Undertake anticoagulation clinics to include interpretation of blood tests and dosing. Dosing is advised by the Lab 10.Provide general treatment room duties (Ulcer/Doppler etc) inc assess planning, implementing and reviewing care. 11.Provide Chronic Disease clinics, delivering patient care as necessary, referring patients to secondary/specialist care as required. 12.Implement vaccination programmes for adults and children. 13. Recognise, assess and refer patients presenting with mental health needs. Administration 14.To maintain accurate patient records and enter onto the computer using agreed Read Codes. 15.Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associate with patient health care. 16.Support the clinical team with safeguarding matters, in accordance with local and national policies. 17.Request/process pathology services as required. 18.To collect data and participate in regular Practice audit and research projects. 19.To contribute to the preparation of any practice development plans. General 20.To maintain own annual registration with the NMC and adhere to Code of Professional Conduct. 21.To maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff, patients, carers, and co-workers from other agencies. Ensure all statutory regulations (e.g., Health & Safety, COSHH, etc) are implemented and adhered to. 22.To always promote a professional approach by attire and attitude to patients and staff both in and out of the Practice. 23.To maintain own continuous professional development and ensure PDP is kept up to date in line with the requirements of the Practice. 24.Attend and participate in staff and Practice meetings and in-house clinical training sessions. 25.Any other reasonable duties that may be required from time-to-time.
