Central is currently recruiting for a female only Team Leader, to work in the Clapham area. The service is a 24 hour supported housing provision for 15-18 women who have experienced homelessness and have interconnecting needs. The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis covering 8 hour shifts between 8AM - 8PM. There is a requirement to work one weekend in every four and to work until 9PM once a fortnight. Temporary cover is required until the 7th May 2025. The pay rate for this role is £22.15 per hour, with £3.79 holiday pay, totalling £25.94 per hour. Please note; the service has several floors and no lifts. In this position, you will be expected to; Ensure the effective day-to-day delivery of a person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed supported housing provision, ensuring best practice in service delivery Manage, support, coach and develop a high-performing multi-disciplinary team of 4 staff (including 1 waking night worker) Deliver tailored, high-quality supported housing for women experiencing homelessness and interconnecting needs Provide a strengths-based and psychologically informed approach to all interactions including casework and incident management Broker, advocate for, and facilitate improved access to a range of support and accommodation services including drug and alcohol recovery services, mental health services and primary care Support the delivery of a therapeutic and diverse program of support and activities Support a positive and smooth transition onto long term accommodation Embed the required professional curiosity, skills, and processes across the team in preventing, detecting, and responding to safeguarding abuse and exploitation and managing risk. Ensure the operational compliance of policies and procedures related regulatory standards, health and safety, etc in supported housing. Develop and contribute to multi-agency plans and networks To apply for this role, you must have; Extensive knowledge and understanding of the causes of homelessness and the needs of women experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage Experience in providing operational day to day management of a supported housing environment ensuring compliance of health and safety and regulatory requirements Knowledge and experience of delivering psychological, gender, and culturally informed approaches to support women with interconnecting needs Experience in developing people, through managing, coaching, and motivating the team and addressing difficult staffing situations constructively and fairly Up-to-date knowledge of relevant external agencies, resources, and accommodation options for people experiencing homelessness Experience in managing and responding to safeguarding concerns, risks and risk mitigation with ability to ensure the team's compliance in line with policies and procedures Ability to respond compassionately, appropriately, and effectively when responding to women who experience trauma Organised, proactive and able to manage a busy workload with a prominent level of autonomy Ability to create opportunities for coproduction with people using services to co-design and improve service provision Strong skills in data input, review and report writing (including good IT skills) Please note; this role is female only.
