Clean Room Assembly Operator
Job Description:
As a Clean Room Assembly Operator within our Infrared Sensors team, you will play a crucial role in the precision assembly of advanced infrared sensor components in a controlled clean room (ISO Class 7) environment. Working under strict adherence to clean room, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) protocols, you will carry out key assembly tasks, including array mounting, filter and radiation shield mounting, and laser welding. This role also requires cross-training across multiple processes, enabling you to provide essential coverage during team members’ holidays.
What you will do as a Clean Room Assembly Operator - Infrared Sensors:
* Precision Assembly: Execute detailed assembly tasks, including array mounting, filter attachment, radiation shield mounting, and laser welding, following rigorous operational procedures.
* Clean Room Protocols: Work within an ISO Class 7 clean room, strictly adhering to cleanliness and environmental standards required for sensitive infrared sensor manufacturing.
* Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Compliance: Follow ESD protection protocols rigorously to prevent component damage, with an in-depth understanding of safe handling and equipment usage.
* Cross-Training and Flexibility: Develop proficiency across multiple assembly processes to provide coverage during colleagues’ holiday periods, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted production flow.
* Quality and Safety Standards: Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process, maintain a safe working environment, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
As part of this role, you will complete required training on Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection, and clean room protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

* Experience in Precision Assembly: Prior experience in high-precision assembly, ideally within a clean room environment or other regulated settings.
* Attention to Detail: Demonstrated focus on accuracy and quality, with the ability to handle delicate components under strict procedural guidelines.
* Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to learn and master multiple assembly processes to ensure efficient coverage when required.
It would be nice if you had:
* Previous experience in infrared sensor manufacturing or similar high-tech industries.
* Familiarity with ISO Class 7 clean room standards, FOD prevention, and ESD compliance.
* Basic understanding of laser welding and other technical skills relevant to the role.
