Our sales and admin team are at the forefront of our business looking after our client needs, and are a vital link to our production staff.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* We create and produce bespoke packaging items using a wide range of substrates and finishing processes. With no product being the same or following the same journey from job development through to production, our days varied and always different.
* We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual who is looking to develop a career in a creative and design led environment.
* Communication is key, and we would love someone who is happy to talk and is well organised. We will teach you the technical aspects of the role but being at the centre of our business between our client base and production, having the ability to multitask is a key skill we would be looking for.
* The apprenticeship will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and will give you valuable experience across a number of areas.
* We will provide training in the sue of our management information system.
* Processing sales orders.
* Processing and purchasing of materials.
* Maintain records and files and store confidential information appropriately.
* Building customer relations. Answer questions from inside and outside of the organisation, via telephone or email.

Course contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
* Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
* Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Your training plan
* Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator Standard, plus any relevant maths and English Functional Skills (if needed).
* Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both SLP Print and BPIF Training. You will be assigned a dedicated BPIF training coordinator throughout your programme to ensure you receive high-quality training.
* Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit both your own and business needs.
* Most training and studying will take place online via regular interative, live workshops, supplemented with regular one-to-one progress checks with your training coordinator.
* You should be comfortable with planning your workload as you progress through the apprenticeship.
