Accounts Assistant I am currently recruiting on behalf of my prestigious client, based in West Bromwich, for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join on a full-time, permanent basis. As part of the finance team within this expanding business, the successful candidate will help facilitate the smooth running of the finance department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and record-keeping. About the role: Accurately entering invoice details such as vendor name, invoice number, date, amount, and product or service descriptions Recording payment details, including payment method, date, and amount Inputting employee expense reports, verifying supporting documentation, and categorizing expenses appropriately Entering bank statements, checks, and other financial transactions into the accounting software Posting journal entries to the general ledger to record financial transactions Verify, process, and record invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate tracking of expenses Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies Monitor customer creditworthiness and take appropriate action to collect overdue payments Manage the debtors ledger, ensuring accurate recording of customer accounts and timely collection of payments Hours and Pay: Monday to Friday Salary up to £30,000 - dependent on experience About you: Proven accounts/finance assistance experience is essential Credit control experience Account reconciliation experience Invoicing experience Competent daily user of Microsoft Office and Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and targets Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
