We put on a whole range of events from the latest bands to children’s theatre, from huge corporate events to graduation ceremonies, from classical concerts to weddings, parties and conferences.We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable focused person to lead our front of house operations at the Corn Exchange and Guildhalls. This pivotal role will lead the venue event delivery teams working across event management, stewarding, bars, catering, changeovers, cleaning and customer service. They will coordinate with technical, box office, programming and marketing managers to ensure that all our events are prestigious and memorable.Naturally you will be passionate about the arts and have an extensive knowledge of event management along with a solid experience of the license trade. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial background, who is able to identify and exploit commercial opportunities as they arise.With the ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate we’ll be looking to you to lead on event management, deliver exceptional customer service and ensure that the venues are kept operational. You will come to us with a track record of working with a large team and will be an excellent communicator who can lead by example.Our ideal candidate will have good negotiating skills and will be able to demonstrate their attention to detail.
