* We seek a Principal Systems Engineer with a solid understanding of specific subject areas, including signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, and system and sensor resource optimization. You should have a comprehension of factors that influence the real-world performance of sensing systems, which affects measurement accuracy and timeliness to meet challenging design objectives. Additionally, you must demonstrate experience in Systems Engineering, including knowledge of Systems Engineering standards, such as ISO 15288. You should also be comfortable presenting technical and non-technical information in formal settings. Please note, you must be a British national to be considered for this role due to security clearance requirements.
Responsibilities:
* In this role, you will be working within a multi-function radar team of inter-disciplinary engineers to evolve our radar portfolio of existing and new products, addressing emerging threats in Future Air Dominance. Your main tasks will include developing innovative solutions to technical challenges faced by our customers and users, applying your Systems Engineering knowledge to steer the development of technical solutions, and resolving engineering issues. You will conduct system design analysis, managing trade-offs to ensure robust product design, and lead the decomposition of requirements to system and sub-system levels using approved tools such as IBM DOORS Next. Acting as a technical focal point, you will provide guidance to your team, collaborating with specialists across various engineering disciplines to realize overarching system design solutions. You will also direct system integration, plan and execute tests, and define acceptance strategies that demonstrate system performance.
