Located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, the company offers an outstanding opportunity for a talented Senior Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. Your new role Your new role will involve producing design concepts to support requested features, managing project elements from concept to delivery, and working with vendors to procure optimal solutions. You will develop project plans to support projects through to production, utilise off-site design resources to develop 3D models and create detailed drawings, and work with NPI and Test Engineers to validate designs. Supporting designs from concept through to the start of production, liaising with your line manager to ensure projects meet required targets, and collaborating effectively within a team environment that may span multiple regions and time zones will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will provide supervision and technical support to others and occasionally travel for business to suppliers or other company locations. What you'll need to succeed What you’ll need to succeed includes holding an honours degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, and having a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in an Engineering design environment. You should be experienced at creating complex 3D models and 2D detail drawings, and have practical experience working with industrial/mechanical equipment. Ideally, you will also have a Master’s Degree in an Engineering-related discipline, experience with PLM and MRP systems, and expertise in Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacture approaches. Five years’ experience in a relevant Engineering design and development environment and advanced level 3D modelling skills (PTC Creo or Siemens) are highly desirable.
