We need a Electronics Test Engineer, electronic manufacturing company based in Ryde, Isle of Wight, electronic power conversion products.
The successful Test Engineer will be required to test, fault-find and repair the electronic and mechanical products down to component level, using and following test specifications and circuit diagrams. Ideally, you will have previous experience of switch mode power supplies within the aerospace industry combined with some knowledge of the various standards that support these.
The Test Engineer will need to be able to repair, test and occasionally solder to IPC J-STD-001 standards. Alongside this, you will need to maintain a high quality of work with attention to detail and ensure products are being completed on time. Review and correct documentation. Excellent communications skills are required due to interdepartmental liaison. The company design, development and manufacture of electronic power conversion products.
Test Engineer Requirements:-
* Extensive test, repair and fault-finding experience would be desirable.
* Ability to solder to IPC J-STD-001 standards..
* Ability to work down to component level.
* Some knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques is advantageous.
* Raise/Recommends changes as required to correct documentation.
Test Engineer Responsibilities :-
* Testing, fault finding and repairing product.
* Ensuring all products are being shipped to customers in a timely manner.
* Producing Investigation Reports. RCCA
* Offering technical assistance to both internal and external parties including training to other staff members.
* Performing inspection activities as required.
* Ensure documentation is correct in line with company requirements.
The salary range is between £30,000 and £35,000. We also cover the travel hovercraft season ticket to and from the isle, along with a car shuttle service to and from work.
Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday to Thursday, with an early finish on Friday at 12:30 PM.
