We are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician at the Bristol Royal Infirmary on either a Band 4 or Band 5 contract depending on accreditation/qualification.

• As a member of the Pharmacy Technician team you will provide safe and efficient pharmacy support to the dispensary and wards within UHBW. You will develop your existing professional, technical and clinical skills through your own continuing professional development to provide a service of excellence to both patients and staff alike. This role includes dispensing and checking of medicines within the dispensary and completion of medicines reconciliation.
• Dispensing of medicines and preparation of pharmaceutical products, helping to meet discharge times & taking queries from ward staff.
• Providing pharmaceutical support to the dispensary and the wards within the trust
• Be involved in the running and organization of the workflow and participate in the training/mentorship of new staff and help to embrace change within the department.
• Progression through nationally recognized accreditations in Accuracy Checking and Medicines Optimization
