Liaising with staff to perform handover of new ICT equipment. Help users resolve issues with software and computer hardware. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details): The role will involve taking calls, handling face-to-face queries, and answering email inquiries. Installation and configuration of software on new end user devices. Working closely with other members of the ICT department. Technologies you will be supporting will include the following: Windows 10/11 Microsoft Office 365 Networking (TCP/IP and DNS) Active Directory Mobile devices. What You’ll Need (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details): The ideal candidate will have the energy and drive to ensure that all support calls and tasks are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise the impact on the customer and their ability to access ICT hardware or software. You will need to be self-motivated and possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate your knowledge to officers at all levels. You must be able to work flexibly to help cover the working day and the role may involve occasional travel to other locations where the councils have an interest. Some out of hours working may also be required.
