CMA Executive is proud to partner with one of the largest general insurers in the UK, who are also ranked as the world's 1 insurance brand and the leading global insurance and asset management brand as they look to appoint a Head of Financial Operations.
Working closely with the Group FC, the role is to ensure the delivery of the Finance Operations objectives for the areas of P2P and O2C and to deliver finance operations strategy, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role holder is responsible for the development and implementation of the overall operational management strategy including technology, people, and processes.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring the right subject matter experts are in place and attached to projects so they can provide input and challenge on changes that will have an impact on Finance Operations.
2. Ensuring an effective Control Framework is in place, taking ownership of any issues and getting them resolved.
3. Motivating and leading your teams to deliver outstanding performance, particularly by reviewing processes & procedures to minimise errors and improve efficiency, as well as ensuring the teams understand how they affect the wider business.
4. Working with Finance Transformation to drive continuous improvement and automation of manual processes, as well as contributing to wider Finance transformation initiatives for an improved future target operating model.
5. Coherently conveying your deep industry knowledge to proactively recommend new and innovative solutions tailored to be market leading within Finance Operations.
6. Bringing experience in target operating model and process design & development by using strong quantitative and qualitative skills to identify complex problems, consider them analytically, and conceptualise solutions.
A suitable candidate for the Head of Financial Operations vacancy will be able to demonstrate:
1. Proven experience of leading larger teams ideally within the insurance industry.
2. Track record of leading teams through change and developing and implementing strategy and process change.
3. Qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience.
4. Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures.
5. The ability to interpret and analyse complex data and financial information, using this to make informed decisions.
