We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Birkenhead. This role focuses on providing one-to-one support to a student in Year 5, helping them achieve their educational goals and succeed in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored, one-to-one support to a Year 5 student to enhance their learning experience.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans and strategies.
- Help foster a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring the needs of the student are met.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding the student's progress and well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience working with children in a primary school setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students in their learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Experience working with children at the primary level is preferred.

We'll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you'll be expected to:
* Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers

* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
