CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT SALARY: UP TO £15.33 per hour plus £2,500 per annum shift allowance CLOSING DATE: 20 th December 2024 A vacancy has arisen for a FEL Operator to join our team within our team at Drax Power Station. Hargreaves Industrial Services provide a varied Operations and Maintenance service to our client at Drax Power Station. We handle, maintain and reclaim materials including FBA, Coal and Mitigant Slurry whilst managing material stocks and transportation using a wide range of Mobile Plant. The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - Loading material onto lorries and ADT's Load Material into Batching Plants, Screening machines and also remove materials from screening area Pre-start vehicle check completed, documented and reported at the start of every shift Maintain a high level of cleanliness standard in the plant (Clean cabs, windows, mirrors etc) Perform greasing of all operational areas as required on the plant, including additional machinery used such as screens. Report any defects during the plants operation to shift charge hand/ site manager Operate the plant following the safe working procedures, method statements and risk assessments in place at all times Provide assistance in the field when and where needed Shall undertake any training required of them in order to maintain the site operation in a safe manner to which they are employed to carry out Conduct inspection of their work areas and carry out a POWRA as set out in the safe working procedures for the task Attend all site / HIS safety meetings / briefings and read and understand all safety and site relevant information Follow, promote and report any activity that deviates site operational rules. (e.g. speeding, crossings etc) The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:- Essential Trained/Competent operator of Front-End Loading Shovel Good communicator at many levels, colleagues, other contractors, and clients Must be able to populate, use and keep documented records as part of the role. Desirable Previous plant operational skills in loading shovel machinery CICTB license for loading shovel
