Take on a pivotal role as Group Management Accountant with a global leader serving the energy, infrastructure, and renewables sectors. This opportunity is ideal for a fully qualified accountant with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
As a Group Management Accountant, you’ll working closely with senior management to deliver financial insights, streamline processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the development of group forecasts and strategic plans.
* Creating detailed financial models to inform decision-making.
* Producing concise and impactful summary presentations.
* Reviewing submissions from regional divisions for accuracy and insights.
* Conducting and reviewing internal analytical activities.
* Working with regional divisions to prepare various business analytics.
* Presenting findings to financial and non-financial personnel.
* Reviewing, analysing, and interpreting monthly regional reporting submissions including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and providing detailed commentary.
* Reviewing, analysing, and interpreting monthly contract and project accounting submissions.
* Participating in monthly review calls to discuss and address key findings.
* Evaluating existing processes and controls while contributing to the enhancement of accounting systems and procedures across the Group.
The ideal applicant will have:
* A professional qualification (ICAS or equivalent) and Big 4 audit experience (up to 3 years PQE).
* Expertise in technical accounting and advanced Excel skills.
* Exceptional analytical and communication abilities, with a knack for explaining financial concepts to non-specialists.
* A proactive attitude and passion for process improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
