Working: The role is office based with occasional travel to other company sites in the UK. Office site presence.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out testing of items in accordance with documented procedures and complete relevant test documentation
Carry out fault finding to understand any failures and feedback to other departments (Production/Manufacturing Engineering) to aid process improvement
Repair and maintain test equipment where required
Support other Test Department personnel as required
Work to deadlines set by the Production Manager and the Test Systems Manager
Setup of equipment to perform production testing
Raise MRBs/defect reports as required
Skills, Qualification and Experience
Experience testing electromechanical products.
Good understanding of electromechanical measurement and test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques, with demonstrable experience down to component level.
Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent
Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports
Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
