As a Market Development Manager (MDM) you will be required to utilise different account management skills including hunting new business whilst developing and maintaining an existing client portfolio. The role is diverse and will see you working in both construction and non-construction sectors, using the many market leading products and services Nationwide Platforms offer our clients to grow market share. You will be working in one of the most experienced teams in the industry, receiving a bespoke training and development plan to see your career progress in the Uk’s leading Powered Access provider. Key Tasks: Lead NWP’s approach to wining and mobilising New Business opportunities throughout the UK. Achieve monthly Machines on Hire (MOH), Revenue and Accounts Opened / Reactivated targets. Follow market trends and network within sectors to build NWP’s profile and build contact base. Work with NWP sales teams to ensure new leads are effectively shared to ensure the appropriate level of account manager is assigned. Use advanced account management techniques to fully understand the customers exact requirements. Build jointly agreed plans that if achieved will exceed revenue targets for each customer and ensure customer satisfaction levels are met. Achieve set targets for sales of all NWP product lines. Target customers that will allow underutilised equipment challenges to be tackled. Through training and focus help create a sales culture where NWP’s teams effectively utilise NWP’s value add solutions to increase customer retention and share of wallet (e.g., Harness On, Digital Platforms and Green Technology). Lead by example. Support compliance against pricing and deal structuring with responsibility for driving price improvement initiatives across the UK. Qualification and Experience Requirements: A proven history of successful leadership of a sales team achieving revenue driven targets Construction industry and rental experience preferred, but not essential Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and interpret complex information Excellent self-organisation, planning, attention to detail and completing finishing skills designed to ensure accurate information logging and review Ability to build rapport with customers and use advanced interpersonal techniques, such as NLP, to create compelling relationships and long-term partnerships Creative selling skills and proven negotiation capability designed to produce long term agreements.
