About the Role: We are seeking an Assistant Merchandiser – Stores, you will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Merchandiser to drive store performance through effective stock management, trading analysis, and strategic planning. You will oversee allocations, monitor deliveries, and collaborate closely with key teams—including Visual Merchandising (VM), Store Managers, and Logistics—to ensure optimum stock availability and a seamless customer experience. Job Responsibilities: Trading: Support the Senior Merchandiser in managing stock and sales across global stores and concessions. Oversee allocation and delivery schedules to optimize stock availability and maximize sales. Manage store intake, allocations, and reporting while mentoring MAA team members. Collaborate with Visual Merchandising (VM) to ensure cohesive store range planning. Contribute to new collection launches and weekly trade packs, offering key insights and action points. Conduct regular store visits, summarizing findings and presenting key trading insights to concession partners. Monitor and report on competitor performance and trends. Planning: Maintain and update Store WSSIs, identifying risks and opportunities. Assist in developing commercial and balanced store ranges, considering market trends and customer profiles. Support sales and stock phasing, consolidation, and recalls to optimize inventory management. Produce weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports, identifying sales trends and strategy opportunities. Provide ad hoc analysis and manipulate data to support business decisions. Contribute to lessons learned, offering store insights to enhance strategy. Cross-Functionality: Act as a link between Stores and Head Office, building strong relationships with Store Managers and VM teams. Ensure seamless communication with warehouse/logistics teams for efficient stock movement. Oversee stock take processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Team & Management: Mentor and support MAAs, ensuring critical tasks are prioritized. Deputize for the Junior Merchandiser when required, handling reporting and cross-functional meetings. Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, including Stores, VM teams, and Warehouses. Skills: Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Proactive mindset with strong commercial awareness. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing data and communications. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.
