ARE YOU A WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE, DESPATCH OPERATIVE, YARD OPERATIVE or LOGISTICS OPERATIVE WITH EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT? DO YOU HOLD A VALID COUNTERBALANCE LICENSE?
Warehouse and Despatch Operative role available within a well established and successful manufacturer who are market leading within their industry.
The role would suit warehouse operatives, dispatch operatives, logistics professionals who have experience in ANY manufacturing or warehouse environment. Applicants will ideally have a valid and up to date counterbalance B1 or B2 forklift license. Operatives must have good verbal and written communication.
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will work closely with the packing department to make sure products are appropriately packed and ready for dispatch, on time in full. You will sort and prepare sales orders in advance of collection. You will assist in the loading of vehicles, making sure all necessary paperwork is signed and passed onto the distribution team. As part of your role, you will work alongside the goods in team for unloading of vehicles upon arrival when required. It will be your responsibility to keep yard areas clean and tidy and to make sure all goods are in their correct areas.
This is a busy and fast paced role within a good team environment. This is a role which connects across a number of departments to ensure that products are dispatched quickly and correctly to maintain high levels of customer service. This is a role due to business growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Packaging of products/goods
2. Preparing sales orders ahead of collection
3. Loading and unloading of vehicles
4. Making sure all correct paperwork is logged
5. Keeping the yard clean and tidy
Requirements:
1. Can transfer from any warehouse, logistics, yard or stock control background
2. Applicants with experience working in a manufacturing environment will have a considerable advantage
3. Must have previous forklift experience
4. Will ideally have a valid and up to date counterbalance B1 or B2 license
