Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop competitive pricing. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best rates. Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure tenders align with project capabilities. Attend site visits on larger projects to assess scope, verify estimates, and ensure smooth cost management. Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives where applicable. What They’re Looking For Proven experience in electrical estimating within construction, building services, or M&E contracting. ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience. Strong commercial awareness with a detailed understanding of material, labour, and plant costs. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. A proactive, hands-on approach—comfortable working beyond estimating and engaging with live projects. Experience working in a small business or adaptable to a close-knit team environment.
