Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated registered nurses to work within the Emergency surgical Unit. We are looking to recruit forward thinking, dynamic staff nurses for our 20 bedded emergency surgical unit. We take a variety of specialities including vascular, urology, breast and general surgery patients. Our patients are referred from GP's, the emergency department and clinics. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week. However part-time opportunities are also available. Main duties of the job The right candidate must have the ability to share the vision and skills of the senior staff to work in a developing service where adaptability is essential. Maintaining the delivery of a high standard of care whilst meeting the demands of a diverse service is our priority and the right candidate will be able to evidence working within a team whilst using their initiative to enhance productivity. This will provide the right candidate a diverse and fast paced discipline of nursing to work within, with many learning opportunities for all the staff. Our patients are treated with a multi-professional approach; therefore, the successful candidate must show a good understanding of the dynamics of working within a multidisciplinary to maximise patient outcome and experience. It is essential to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills whilst maintaining a positive outlook and working environment to maximise productivity.
