Their students often have complex needs and have found mainstream education challenging. The Role : They are looking for a reliable, confident, and dedicated Science teacher to cover Key Stage 3. You will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons to students, many of whom may display challenging behaviours or have additional learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young people and be able to build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them feel secure and supported in their educational journey. Key Responsibilities : Teach Science to Key Stage 3 students, following the curriculum and adapting lessons to meet students’ individual needs. Manage challenging behaviour effectively and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Build strong relationships with students, helping them feel safe, secure, and motivated to learn. Support the emotional and social development of students, working closely with colleagues and external agencies as needed. Contribute to the overall development and growth of the school and its students. Requirements : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Science, ideally at Key Stage 3 level. Experience working with students who have struggled in mainstream education or have EHCPs in place. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviour. The ability to build positive, meaningful relationships with students and staff.
