JRS Associates have teamed up with a reputable business in the local area, and we’re looking to add an experienced Contracts Metallurgist with strong technical expertise and industry knowledge to their team. Main Purpose of Job: To ensure all aspects of contract review are completed accurately and that the requirements are communicated effectively to the operational environment. The goal is to provide fully compliant parts to meet customer requirements. This role will also involve completing and supplying relevant documentation to both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and minimize product liability. Additionally, the role will provide technical expertise across the organization. The Successful Contracts Metallurgist – Package: Competitive salary (discussed with suitable applicants) Day hours – Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Contributory pension scheme (4% Company contribution) 3x life cover Modern, clean working environment with free onsite parking The Successful Contracts Metallurgist – Knowledge/Experience Required: Degree or HND in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry Experience in melting, hot working, and testing processes Experience in writing procedures and training employees across a business Knowledge of Quality Management Reviews and FMEAs Familiarity with Continuous Improvement cultures Experience reviewing manufacturing routes to ensure compliance Background in metal stockholding or production, ideally with nickel-based alloys Experience writing technical reports Familiarity with working to OEM technical specifications and Quality requirements Experience with error-proofing Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in using methods like 8D, 5 Whys, Six Sigma If you're interested in learning more or think you’re the perfect fit for the role, apply now You’ll receive a call within 3 hours (during working hours) with further details about the company and position
