Job overview
Sherwood Forest Hospitals have an exciting opportunity to join the Gynaecology team at King's Mill Hospital as a Triage Co-ordinator!
The role provides administrative support and coordination of high quality patient care to those affected by gynaecological cancer. The successful candidate will be a point of contact for patients throughout their hospital attendance to ensure accessible and customer focused care.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to ensure administrative support throughout the patient's journey at Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contacting patients by telephone to confirm upcoming appointments
* Proactively monitor and optimise the booking of all clinic
* Liaise with Consultants, Doctors and Specialist Nurses as required
* Provide a patient centred and timely and efficient response
* Organise, plan, and prioritise workloads sufficiently and effectively

Knowledge Requirements
* Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard with a high level of accuracy
* Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general
* Thorough knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes
* Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets i.e. Careflow, Dragon, ICE, Orion, Excel, or similar applications
* Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient data systems
* Confidentiality and Data Protection
* Health and Safety
* Equality and diversity
* Sound office clerical background providing knowledge of relevant procedures
* Experience of using a full range of IT / Patient data systems – As applicable to speciality
Qualifications
* Good general education with GCSE English at grade C or above, (or equivalent)
* RSA II (or equivalent)
* Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrator & Receptionist diploma (AMSPAR)
* NVQ in Customer Care
* Institute of Health Records & Information Management Diploma (IHRIM)
* European Computer Driving Licence
* Shorthand speeds of 80wpm
