As a Quality Engineer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Your role will include delivering Fleet Quality Assurance activities in line with the current Customer Contract through close liaison with all key stakeholders. Day-to-day, you'll provide support to Platform Maintenance Periods, Product Quality Activities, Supply Chain Support, Quality Training, Corporate Audit Programme and Management System Governance.
* Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company's cost, time and quality requirements.
* Assist the Senior Quality Engineer in maximising the utilisation of all the section's resource.
* Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in their area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
* Production of detailed Quality Plans to support Fleet Maintenance Projects, achieving stakeholder agreement prior to project start.
* Participate in the corporate audit program including the management of corrective and preventive actions.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. The role is based at HMNB Faslane.
Essential experience of the Quality Engineer
* Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 Series).
* Experience with Quality Management tools and techniques.
* Experience gained within a Quality Assurance engineering background working with a high level of developed knowledge, including Leading or Support auditing of Internal/External quality audits.
* Demonstrable experience in supporting a range of engineering, process and quality management issues involving varied levels of complexity.
* Experience within Submarine industry would be preferred but not essential.
